BROOKINGS – The Brookings High School visual arts team placed second in the state visual arts competition March 17.

Five students placed in the top 3 in the state in individual categories as well: Theodosopoulos, Baca, Hillestad, Harms and Johnson.
Harms won the Director’s Choice award for overall best piece of art. Her artwork competed against more than 300 other pieces.
