VOLGA – A grill was damaged and grates stolen, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday and occurred in the 100 block of Adams Avenue in Volga, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
“A Volga resident reported damage to the hood of their Charbroil grill and two grates stolen from the grill. It was found that the suspect or suspects entered the back yard through a 4-foot-tall chain link fence and onto the back deck where the grill is kept,” Sebring said.
The incident occurred sometime between the evening hours of June 24 and when it was noticed on Wednesday, he said.
The cost to repair the grill and replace the grates is estimated at $90, Sebring said.
