Sioux Falls – A portion of Interstate 229 buckled from high temperatures and heat indexes, Friday, July 19, in Sioux Falls.
The temperature in Sioux Falls was 93 degrees with a heat index of 107 degrees when the buckle was reported Friday afternoon.
The temperature reached 94 degrees with a heat index of 109 just a few hours later.
