BROOKINGS – Brookings area emergency services collaborated Tuesday evening for their annual critical incident and mass casualty exercise at GracePoint Wesleyan Church.
Members from the Brookings Fire Department, Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Brookings Police Department, University Police Department, South Dakota Highway Patrol and Brookings Health System Ambulance participated in the drill to prepare in case a similar incident ever occurred for real.
Above, Brookings Health System paramedic Audie Beckman (center) takes notes from volunteer victims Mariah Hockett and Amy Vertin about what happened to Vertin’s son, Cody, during the exercise.
