BROOKINGS – Brookings is the home to South Dakota’s first ever Insomia Cookies store. In a news release, the store stated it will be hosting a celebration on Saturday with a grand opening event from noon to 3 p.m. and a late-night PJ party beginning at 8 p.m.

The party will involve freebies, treats, and more. Customers are encouraged to come dressed in their pajamas, and the first 50 pajama-clad people in line will receive a “South Doughkota” T-shirt. Insomnia Loyalty members who attend the event will also receive a free classic cookie.

The beloved cult cookie brand is known for serving warm cookies all day and late into the night. The new Brookings store is located in the Village Square Mall, a short walk from South Dakota State University’s campus, and is the chain’s 231st location nationwide.

Insomnia Cookies offers their cookies in-store, for pickup, and even delivery options for customers. The bakery offers an array of flavors, including classic Chocolate Chunk, Snickedoodle, Confetti Deluxe, and even vegan options in their rotating, limited edition menu. To top it off, customers can add ice cream to their cookies as well.

The store is open seven days a week and will deliver to Insomniacs throughout surrounding neighborhoods and to South Dakota State University’s campus. Insomnia Cookies looks forward to satisfying the cravings of Brookings cookie lovers and Jackrabbits alike.
