PALM DESERT, Calif. – South Dakota State shot 310 and is in 23rd after the first round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Friday at the 7,322-yard, par-72 Classic Club.
California leads the way following a 13-under-par 275. Southern Illinois’ Peyton Wilhoit tops the individual leaderboard with a 6-under 66.
For the Jackrabbits, Alejandro Restrepo fired 76; Alejandra Perazzo, Jared Nicolls and Max Donohue each shot 78; and Jacob Otta carded an 80.
The second round is today followed by the final round Sunday.
