The Little Leprechaun 4-H club met Sept. 8 with 21 members in attendance and one guest, Eisalee Kelly.
The flag salute and 4-H pledge were led by Murray McCausland. The roll call topic was, “What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?”
The secretary report was given by Averie Robinson. The treasurer report was given by Kate Gayne. The club discussed Achievement Days and the State Fair. New business was National 4-H week plans for the week of Oct 6-12. Record books are due to Louise by Sept. 26.
The talk this month was, “Tell us about your first week of school, what school you are attending and what grade you are in this year.”
Kate Gayne gave a talk on “how to cut out quilt squares.”
We had election of officers. For the new 4-H year Kale Nelsen will be president. Kaylin Gjernes is vice-president. Secretary is Brenna Nelsen. The treasurer is Liam McCausland. Flag leader is Terra Nelsen and song leader is Bailey Gjernes.
The community service project was making “candy pencils” to be given as gifts to teachers.
The next 4-H meeting is scheduled for Oct. 6. Weather permitting, we will clean our 4-H ditch before the meeting.
