The Medary Creek Beavers held their monthly meeting in Elkton at the Community Center on Feb. 11.

Maddisyn called the meeting to order, Rose led the flag pledge and Ava led the 4-H pledge. The roll call was, “Who is going to win the Super Bowl.”

Old business discussed: Sioux Empire Livestock Show and Judging and Watertown Winter Clalf Show.

New business discussed: Kid Kare Virtual Babysitting Clinic for six weeks (register online and the cost is $20).

Youth Livestock Literacy — all youth showing livestock must complete one of these before July 1 ; YQCA – Youth for the Quality Care of Animals can be completed online or there will be in-person events scheduled later; Youth Horse Literacy must be completed if showing horses before June 1; South Dakota 4-H Rodeo Packets are due May 1; 4-H camp dates have been set, registration is open in April.

Remember to try to think of some demonstration in order to do throughout the year ( if you have been in a project for three years you must do a demonstration in order to get your three year pin award).

The community service and 4-H Promotion: Clover Care Kits to be donated to local shelters.

The next meeting will be March 10 .
