BROOKINGS – Optimist Club of Brookings President Carol Thomas, center, presents Brookings State’s Attorney Dan Nelson and Karlee Chapin a check for $1,500 to support the county’s Youth Diversion Program.
Nelson said the Boys & Girls Club has partnered with the State’s Attorney’s Office “to help solve some of these more difficult issues.”
Currently, the Boys & Girls Club has three different diversion programs available for juveniles, Youth Diversion Director Chapin said.
