BUSHNELL — An early morning structure fire left a home on the main drag in Bushnell a total loss.
According to a release from Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring from the Brookings County Sheriff’s Department, crews from around the county responded to a fire in progress at Railroad Avenue in Bushnell shortly after midnight Thursday.
The residence was completely engulfed when fire crews arrived, Sebring said.
The resident noticed smoke inside the residence and evacuated immediately. They were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene and released.
