BROOKINGS – Five vehicles were vandalized in Brookings this week, with windows shattered over two days, according to Brookings Police.
The first report came in Wednesday from the 500 block of Third Street for a 2006 Dodge Durango, “which had its rear driver’s side window broken out,” Assistant Chief Derrick Powers said.
The other four reports came in on Thursday.
A 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the 800 block of Second Street was vandalized sometime Wednesday night with the passenger side window broken out and the front windshield damaged, Powers said.
“Both with an unknown item,” he added.
A 2016 Kia Optima parked in the 200 block of Eighth Street West was damaged sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
“The rear passenger side window was broken,” Powers said.
A 2006 Dodge Durango parked in the 700 block of Third Street was also vandalized.
“The rear window was broken out of it,” Powers said.
A 1999 Chevy pickup parked in the 700 block of Third Street had its back window broken out, Powers said.
No items were reported stolen from the vehicles.
