Saturday, Jan. 1
1:10 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Main Avenue due to a report of a customer refusing to leave an establishment. Subsequently, one male was later taken into custody for criminal trespass.
2:19 a.m. The Brookings Police Department made contact with a driver of a vehicle in the 900 block of Sixth Street. During the investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for DUI.
9:24 a.m. Law enforcement took a report about assault threats.
10:53 p.m. Civil matter
Sunday, Jan. 2
2:31 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Eighth Street South and 17th Avenue South. No injuries were reported. A report was completed.
9:48 a.m. Officers took a report of a dog bite. A report was filed.
11:29 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of West 20th Street South for a speeding violation. The juvenile male driver was cited for speed, possession of paraphernalia and underage possession of tobacco products.
6:25 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Sixth Street West for a two-vehicle accident that occurred. There were no injuries, and a report was generated.
