Thursday, April 22
5:50 p.m. Officers responded to an accident at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Olwien Street. A report was filed.
Friday, April 23
10:38 a.m. An officer with the Brookings Police Department responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street due to a report of a hit-and-run vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and a report was generated.
6:38 p.m. Officers spoke with a Brookings resident regarding an assault. One female was arrested for simple assault domestic.
8:21 p.m. Brookings Police investigated a sexual assault in the 300 block of 22nd Avenue South.
Saturday, April 24
7:22 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The passenger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:40 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Second Avenue for a welfare concern. One person was transported to the Brookings Hospital.

Monday, April 26
1:58 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 700 block of Medary Avenue for a disturbance. Brookings Ambulance was requested, and one male was transported to the Brookings ER for a possible drug overdose.
8:34 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 500 block of Main Avenue South. A state accident report was completed.
8:55 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received a report of a sexual assault that took place in the 400 block of Sixth Street on April 25. The suspect entered into the apartment and sexually assaulted a female individual. The suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
3:44 p.m. Brookings Police took a report in regard to a citizen of Brookings providing gift cards to a scam caller via telephone. A report was generated.
8:48 p.m. Officers received a call regarding a daycare operating in unsanitary conditions. A Department of Social Services referral report was generated.
