Saturday, May 14
4:27 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for an active warrant.
11:15 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury vehicle crash in the 700 block of Medary Avenue South.
12:31 p.m. Officers responded to possible domestic violence in the 100 block of Wagon Wheel Circle. One party reported domestic violence from the night before.
Sunday, May 15
12:20 a.m. Officers responded to 115 Wagon Wheel Circle for a possible domestic assault. The suspect left prior to police arrival. During the course of the investigation, it was determined a domestic assault took place.
7:04 p.m. Officers responded to 1504 Fifth St. S. No. 6 for a report of an assault. After speaking with both parties, it was determined an assault did not take place and this is an ongoing neighbor dispute.
7:19 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 400 block of Harvey Dunn Street for a report of an individual with outstanding warrants. The individual was taken into custody without incident, and a report was generated.
9:08 p.m. Officers responded to a traffic complaint near the 300 block of Medary Avenue South. A traffic stop was initiated near Birch Avenue and Forest Street. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver for DUI-first offense.
Monday, May 16
9:08 p.m. Police officers took a report of a hit-and-run that happened between 4:50 and 8:30 p.m. A report was taken.
Tuesday, May 17
5:02 p.m. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a minor accident involving two vehicles. A report was generated.
