Wednesday, May 18
5:44 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the area of 22nd Avenue and Yorkshire Drive for a welfare concern. During the investigation, it was discovered a sexual assault possibly occurred. The incident is under investigation.
12:09 p.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of Brooklawn Drive to a possible domestic disturbance. The incident was investigated, and a report was taken.
3:36 p.m. Officers took a report of a possible bond violation. The incident is under investigation.
3:41 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart parking lot for a hit-and-run vehicle accident. A report was filed.
4:12 p.m. An individual called the Brookings Police Department to report theft of property in the 2100 block of 22nd Avenue South. A report was filed.
4:30 p.m. An individual came to the Brookings Police Department to report theft of items in the 2500 block of Sixth Street. An investigation was filed.
4:34 p.m. Officers were notified of a possible no-contact order violation. A report was filed.
4:47 p.m. The Brookings Police received a report in regard to blackmail/extortion.
9:22 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 800 block of Fifth Street South for a juvenile out of control. Parties were separated and a report was generated.
Thursday, May 19
1:32 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a non-injury, two-vehicle crash in the 500 block of Main Avenue. A report was filed.
9:20 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Western Avenue for a welfare check. After an investigation, it was determined a domestic assault took place. A male was arrested on felony charges. A female was arrested on outstanding warrants, and another female was arrested on felony charges.
