12:05 p.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of 22nd Avenue South to assist with the involuntary committal process. A report has been generated.
9:02 a.m. Petty theft, less than $400
9:22 a.m. Grand theft; passing NSF checks $400-$1,000
9:23 a.m. Grand theft; passing NSF checks over $1,000
10:04 a.m. Detective Smith assisted the DCI with a parole search of a cell phone.
2:19 p.m. Third-degree rape – physical or mental incapacity or intoxicated, narcotic or anesthetic agent or hypnosis
7:03 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Sixth Street for a male in a wheelchair lying on the ground. Officers arrived, and the male was arrested for ingestion of substance to become intoxicated. A report was filed.
12:04 a.m. Stop sign violation and proceed without safe passage; expired license plates; possession of suspended license; driving while suspended
12:07 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Main Avenue for a fight. After investigation, one was arrested for simple assault.
12:54 a.m. Improper right turn; underage purchase or possession of alcoholic beverages; possession of fictitious license
1:51 a.m. Improper lighting of license plate; fail to maintain financial responsibility; DUI-first offense
9:32 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 300 block of Eighth Street for the report of criminal entry into a motor vehicle. A report was filed, and charges are pending.
11:44 p.m. Officer Engstrom responded to a hit-and-run collision in the 2200 block of 10th Street. A report was filed.
