Wednesday, Sept. 11
7:14 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South for a juvenile incident. A report was filed.
8:16 a.m. Threatening or harassing contacts by telephone or electronic device
8:19 a.m. Officer Kreutner was requested to the Department of Corrections office for an agency assist. After further investigation, one was cited for driving without a license.
1:32 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DUI. Several drug items were located inside the vehicle.
2:09 p.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Medary Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
5:07 p.m. Intentional damage to property – $400 or less
7:15 p.m. Officer Pollman took a report of suspicious vehicle which stopped at the complainant’s mailbox, opened it and drove away, leaving the mailbox open. The suspect’s vehicle was a red Jeep.
Thursday, Sept. 12
5:56 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Main Avenue South for a report of an intoxicated male. After investigation, he was arrested for several charges.
7:59 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to a three-vehicle crash in the 2700 Block of Sixth Street. A state crash report was completed.
8 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Sixth Street and Sixth Avenue for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A report was filed.
8:15 a.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report of a hit and run at Brookings High School. An investigation was made, and a city accident report has been filed.
9:33 a.m. Officer McCaskill was requested to a possible injury accident at the intersection of Sixth Street and 17th Avenue. A state accident report was completed. One driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic signal.
