7:42 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of damage to a vehicle.
8:42 p.m. Law enforcement was asked to do a welfare check on a male. No action was needed; the male was all right.
Friday, Sept. 18
1:29 a.m. Officers arrested a male for possession of a fake ID, underage, and public urination in the 300 block of Third Street.
6:52 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 300 block of Main Avenue South for a report of damage to property. A report was filed.
12:17 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a protection order violation. A report was filed.
6:46 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Nicole Lane to take a report of a hit-and-run.
7:57 p.m. Brookings Police responded to 2400 block of Sixth Street in reference to a theft.
10:43 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of 12th Street South in regard to threatening and harassing phone messages.
Saturday, Sept. 19
1:44 a.m. Officers assisted a Brookings County Sheriff’s deputy on a traffic stop. One person was arrested. A report was taken.
7:42 a.m. Brookings Police took a call in regard to a possible motor vehicle theft. After investigation, it was determined the situation was an ongoing civil dispute between family members. A report was generated.
10:39 a.m. Brookings Ambulance and Brookings Police responded to the 1400 block of Sixth Street for a vehicle located on the sidewalk and had struck the barrier on the south side of Sixth Street. The driver was transported via ambulance in regard to a medical emergency. A report was generated.
11:14 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to a report of possible child abuse. The incident is currently under investigation.
5:39 p.m. Disorderly conduct; obstructing officer, jailer, firefighter; warrant
