Thursday, Oct. 1
1:45 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of 22nd Avenue for a speeding violation. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was filed.
9:06 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 600 block of Second Street for a hit-and-run of a motor vehicle. A report was filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
1:17 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of a theft that occurred on the 300 block of Dakota Avenue.
11:38 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of the Western diagonal. An investigation was performed, and one male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.
Friday, Oct. 2
10:34 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of stolen flooring equipment from the 300 block of Sixth Street. An investigation is pending.
10:54 a.m. Officer Schneider received a truancy report from the high school. A juvenile citation was issued.
7:11 p.m. Officers responded to the 600 block of Sixth Street to a report of suspicious activity. A report was taken.
7:12 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 300 block of Fifth Street for a minor crash report.
