Wednesday, Nov. 10
12:19 p.m. School Resource Officer Warkenthien was notified of a comment made about harming another person. An investigation was made, and a report has been filed.
7:03 p.m. Brookings Police officers took a report from the Tea Police Department about a juvenile incident that occurred in Brookings over the weekend. A report was generated, and the investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, Nov. 11
2:16 a.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 500 block of Second Avenue for a report of an assault. One individual was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and served two outstanding warrants.
3:57 a.m. Brookings Police Officers responded to the 700 block of Fifth Street for a suspicious vehicle. After an investigation, a male was arrested for DUI and possession of a fictitious license.
12:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 2500 block of Sixth Street for an agency assist. An arrest was made.
3:27 p.m. Officer Schneider was made aware of a student at Brookings High School who was under the influence of an illegal substance. An investigation was made, and charges are pending.
4:30 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of a male who received chemical burns from an incident that occurred in the 1300 block of Eighth Street South. The incident is under investigation.
7 p.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Christine Circle for a juvenile incident. A report was generated.
Friday, Nov. 12
5:43 p.m. Officers arrested a male for a probation hold in the 300 block of Third Avenue.
7:07 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 22nd Avenue for a non-injury accident involving three vehicles. A report was generated.
10:38 p.m. Brookings Police were called to a residence on the 1000 block of Ninth Avenue for a noise complaint. An investigation was conducted, citations were issued for underage, and one person was arrested for common nuisance.
Saturday, Nov. 13
8:40 a.m. Sgt. Franklin took a report of theft from a resident in the 1400 block of Franklin Avenue.
11:52 a.m. A child was located in the 900 block of Sixth Street. He has since been returned home uninjured.
2:39 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a dog bite report at the Brookings ER.
8:34 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury vehicle crash at the intersection of Sixth Street and Medary Avenue.
9:34 p.m. Brookings Police Department investigated a domestic assault in the 1200 block of Second Street.
