Rheumatology services to start at Brookings Health’s outreach clinic

BROOKINGS – Rheumatologist Dr. Jenna King, D.O., of Avera Medical Group Rheumatology, will begin seeing patients at Brookings Health System’s outreach clinic. She will be available to see patients the second Monday of every month starting Sept. 12.

As a rheumatologist, King assesses, diagnoses and treats multiple autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system including joints, muscles and bones. Conditions Dr. King treats includes gout, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis of the spine and several other types of arthritis and autoimmune disorders.

King received her medical degree from Lake Eire College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She performed her residency in internal medicine at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, New York, and her fellowship in rheumatology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Rheumatology and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
