BROOKINGS – South Dakota State Director of Golf Casey VanDamme announced Friday that Will Frazier from Class of 2019 has signed a national letter of intent to attend SDSU and play for the Jackrabbits next season.
“Will has big goals and we look forward to him achieving them as a Jackrabbit. His work ethic, belief and grit are exactly what we are looking for,” VanDamme said. “We expect big things from him on the course, in the classroom and in the community.”
Frazier tied for 10th at the 2018 Minnesota state tournament and won five tournaments as a junior.
The 2018 Class 3A all-state selection enters his senior season at Eastview High School with a 73.8 stroke average in 16 events. Frazier set the single-season and career records for most rounds in the 60s.
The Apple Valley, Minn., native won the 2018 Minnesota State Boys’ Junior Championship with a 5-under-par 139 (70-69). With the victory, the five-year letterwinner qualified for 2018 Minnesota State Junior Boys’ PGA Championship, finishing third with a 1-under-par 141.
