BROOKINGS – U.S. Sen. Mike Rounds, ’77, visited South Dakota State University Tuesday afternoon.
While on campus, he received an update on the work done by Adam Hoppe, an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and director of BioSystems Networks and Translational Research Center. While touring the Avera Health and Science Center, Rounds saw a microscope Hoppe designed.
The instrument allows scientists to view fluorescently tagged molecules interacting with one another in a living cell.
