WHITE – A Case IH tractor caught fire Monday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire was reported at 10:23 p.m. Monday and occurred near 483rd Avenue and 203rd Street, east of White, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

“The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office along with the White Fire Department responded to the above location for a tractor on fire,” Sebring said.

“Upon arrival, crews discovered a Case IH 340 Magnum fully engulfed in flames and was attached to a grain cart. Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames,” Sebring said.

“At this time, it is still unknown how the fire started. Damage of the incident is estimated to be $100,000,” Sebring said.
