A memorial service for Vern Lawrence will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at First Lutheran Church, 337 Eighth St. in Brookings. All relatives and family friends are invited to attend and share memories of him.
Vern, a Brookings native who graduated from Estelline High School in 1972, died in Plainfield, Ill., on Saturday, Oct. 21, after battling neuroendocrine carcinoma. He was 69.
