What has been accomplished in the three years that Avery has served on the City Council? Strategic planning and funding for mental health facilities, childcare services and food security.

What is the ongoing plan? To continue to solve issues facing the Brookings community to provide a solid infrastructure and public safety through workforce development; affordable housing; and responsible and ethical public safety officials.

• Wayne is honest, listens to others, works with council members and Brookings Citizens with a goal toward fairness, ethical, and responsible plans to provide guidance for the continued growth and economic development of the Brookings Community.
• He provides a strong ethical and financial background to see the “big picture” and apply his knowledge to thoughtful and essential decisions.
• His concern and participation in serving others on the City Planning Board, Municipal Utilities Board, and weekly volunteerism for distribution of boxes of food through Feeding Brookings to those with food insecurity.
