BROOKINGS – Bob Hill, Brookings County emergency management director issued a reminder that a winter weather advisory is in effect in the area from noon today to 6 a.m. Friday.
Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch are expe1cted, with the greatest ice accumulations expected across northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa.
Hill said slippery road conditions could impact the evening commute and urged area drivers to slow down and be cautious if they encounter hazardous road conditions.
