Clara Brown, age 92, of Hendricks and formerly of Brookings and Astoria, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2024. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Astoria with a funeral service at 3 p.m.

Michael Vaske, 72, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at the Brookings Hospital surrounded by his family.

Tara Marie Jacobs passed away Jan. 19, 2024, at her home in Mounds View, Minnesota, at the age of 44. She passed peacefully with her devoted husband Mat by her side.

Charles William Canaan went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 21, 2024.

Sherry Roth, 88 of Astoria, died Monday, Jan, 22, 2024, at the Sanford Clear Lake Medical Center.

Anne “Annie” (Wolff) Smolik, 72, of Rapid City, SD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024 surrounded by loving siblings at Serenity Place in St. Martins Village.

Thomas Myles Klosterman, 88, of Brookings, SD died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024.

John Peterson, 61, of Brookings, passed away on Jan. 14, 2024, at the Brookings hospital.

Gary Dean Voss, 70, died peacefully on Jan. 12, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, in Tremonton, Utah.

Jacqualine Darleen (Nersion) Sexauer was born on March 12, 1925, in Valley Springs, South Dakota, to Edna (Schafer) Nerison and Henry Nerison. She passed away almost 99 years later, on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in Sioux Falls with her beloved sister Arlette and other family members by her side — while watching one of her favorite football teams.

Donna Mae (Reinke) Magnus, 90 of Elkton, SD passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024.

Loraine Larsen, 82, of Brookings, SD, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at Brookings Health System.
