PIERRE – High school football schedules for the 2021 season were recently announced.
Regular-season games may be played Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the corresponding week.
Week 1 is Friday, Aug. 20.
The Dakota Valley Conference place games will be contested in Week 9.
The Class 11B, 9AA, 9A and 9B playoffs begin Oct. 21. The Class 11AAA, 11AA and 11A playoffs kick off Oct. 28. All semifinals are Nov. 5, with championship action Nov. 11-13 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.
Joining Brookings in Class 11AA this coming season are Aberdeen Central, Douglas, Huron, Mitchell, Pierre, Spearfish, Sturgis, Tea Area, Watertown and Yankton.
