BROOKINGS – Levi Stauber scored twice and Dante Sheriff recorded three assists as the Austin Bruins beat the Blizzard 4-1 in an NAHL Central Division matchup Friday night at Larson Ice Center.
Ian Mageau scored on a power play 2:06 into the game. Sheriff assisted.
Brookings answered 10 minutes later as Owen Belisle lit the lamp on an assist from Dylan Schuett.
Joseph Winkelmann put the Bruins on top for good late in the first, as Noah Kim was credited with the assist.
Stauber scored with 11:05 to go in the second period and with 7:44 remaining in the third. Sheriff assisted on both goals, with Jed Pietila also assisting on the second-period tally.
Brett Miller made 17 saves to earn the win in goal for Austin (6-1-0-1, 13 points).
Brookings’ McLean Dorr stopped 23 shots.
The Blizzard (1-6-1-1, 4 points) have nearly a week off before playing host to the MN Wilderness on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
