FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State swept South Dakota State 25-15, 25-20, 25-17 in a Summit League volleyball match Friday night.
McKenzie Burke had 13 kills to lead the way. Alexis Bachmeier added seven kills, 2 1/2 blocks and a service ace. Allie Mauch totaled nine kills and a block assist, while Emily Halverson finished with five kills, 2 1/2 blocks (two solo) and a pair of aces.
Kalli Hegerle guided the offense with 36 set assists and Abbi Klos paced the defense with 14 digs.
For the Jackrabbits, Ashlynn Smith had nine kills, two aces and a solo block. Sierra Peterson notched nine kills and a block. Makenzie Hennen contributed six kills.
Maddie Fay dished out 24 set assists. Ellie Thein came up with 11 digs.
The Bison improved to 7-9 (1-3).
SDSU (3-13, 0-3), which has lost 19 consecutive league matches, takes on North Dakota today at 4 p.m. in Grand Forks.
