BROOKINGS – The Bobcats defeated Huron 135-118.4 in a season-opening gymnastics dual Monday night at Bob Jostad Gymnasium.
The Tigers’ Erica Zell won the all-around with a 34.75.
Brookings’ Tayla Dobrenski (34.45), Rachel Gannon (34.35), Lily Siemonsma (32.45), Sierra Stevens (31.45), Kasey Bachar (31.4) and Ava Wakeman (31.3) were second through seventh, respectively.
Gannon was tops on the floor with a score of 9.0 and the vault with an 8.75.
Dobrenski won the beam at 8.85 and paced the team on the bars, taking second with an 8.8.
Zell won the bars with a 9.15.
The Lolly Forseth Invitational is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sioux Falls Lincoln.
