Brian T. Gilligan, 61, of Tucson, AZ, unexpectedly passed away in his home on Friday, June 24, 2022. Private family services were held June 28, in Tucson, AZ.
Brian T. Gilligan was born on Feb. 8, 1961, to Patrick and Joan Gilligan of Estelline, SD, He graduated from Estelline High School in 1979.
Brian moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1983, and made Tucson his home.
Brian was an estimator in the construction industry in the Tucson area. After early retirement, he spent the last years of his life living it to the fullest with his soulmate, Alice Gilligan.
Brian married the love of his life, Alice, In 1997. They would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in September. Brian and Alice were blessed with five children, Larry, Andy, Tony, Sean, Vicky. Brian and Alice have four grandsons, Manny, Drew, Anthony and Leon. These boys brought much joy and happiness to his life.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Gilligan, of Tucson, AZ; four children, Larry, Andy, Vicky (Manny) and Tony (Jessica); grandsons Manny, Drew, Anthony and Leon, all of Tucson, AZ; and his sister, Teressa (Wayne) Freyberg of Brookings, SD.
He was preceded in death by his son, Sean Gilligan, in 2006; and his parents Patrick and Joan Gilligan.
