Brookings TaeKwonDo had its first tournament of the fall season.
The Minnesota Taekwondo Hanmadang, which means festival in Korean, was hosted by Master Young Kim in Blaine, Minnesota, on Saturday. Over 250 competitors from multiple states in the Midwest and Canada competed.
Brookings TaeKwonDo athletes did a terrific job and stepped up when they needed too.
The following athletes took home medals:
Carly Hagedorn took bronze medal in poomsae (forms) and gold medal in sparring.
Blythe Jones took silver medal in Poomsae and bronze medal in sparring.
Nicole Waligoske took bronze medal in sparring.
Hailey Hagedorn took bronze medal in poomsae and sparring.
Liam Jones took bronze medal in poomsae and sparring.
Katie Bortnem took bronze medal in weapons, silver medal in poomsae and bronze medal in sparring.
Emily Hagedorn took silver medal in poomsae and gold medal in sparring.
