YANKTON – The Bobcat boys’ golf team took 12th in the Yankton Invitational on Friday at Hillcrest.

Sioux Falls Roosevelt, led by medalist Jack Lundin, took the team title with a 309.
The host Bucks were second at 314. Sioux Falls O’Gorman and Rapid City Stevens were third and fourth, respectively, after shooting 321. Sioux Falls Lincoln (322) rounded out the top five.
Lundin fired a 2-under-par 70. He birdied Nos. 15, 17 and 18 and had a bogey at the eighth.
The Patriots’ Nash Stenberg was runner-up following a round of 74. The Raiders’ Ben Daane carded a 75 to place third and Yankton’s Gavin Haselhorst was fourth at 76.
Roosevelt’s Jack Eggebraaten, OG’s Zach Curd, Aberdeen Central’s Ethan Vikander and Yankton’s Landon Moe tied for fifth with 78s. Stevens’ Adam Salter, Yankton’s Austin Frick and Harrisburg’s Hayden Scott ended up in a tie for ninth at 79.
Jesse Roberts paced the Bobcats with a 91, putting him in a tie for 52nd.
Justin Kortan (93) tied for 57th, Jack Even (95) tied for 61st and Kade Brecher (97) tied for 66th to complete the team tally.
Also for BHS, Brayton Mack and Kane Kurtenbach tied for 76th at 102.
The Brookings Invitational is Monday at 10 a.m. at the BCC.
