VOLGA – Sioux Valley went 0-3 Tuesday night at the Sioux Valley Quad. The Cossacks fell 38-33 to Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno. They then fell 58-18 to Howard and 60-15 to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney.

VOLGA – Sioux Valley went 0-3 Tuesday night at the Sioux Valley Quad. The Cossacks fell 38-33 to Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno. They then fell 58-18 to Howard and 60-15 to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney.
Against Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno Tyson Moe pinned Stewart Taylor in 4:59. David Knutson then pinned Jaden Rouse in 0:52 and Brayden Squires pinned Weston Freier in 3:42. Seth Heidenreich pinned Chris Kessler in 0:43 and Lev Nedelco defeated Dawson Ulmer in sudden victory 9-7.
The Cossacks had two wins via forfeit against Howard. Nedelco had the other victory for Sioux Valley in that match when he pinned Gabriel Turpin in 4:50. Moe was pinned by Karsten Hamilton in 0:31 and Squires lost a 7-4 decision to Jack Neises.
Knutson picked up a sudden victory against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney’s Brandon Bosworth 10-6. Russell Shets pinned Tate Tolsma in 0:44 and Joe Hornick pinned Jeremy Douglas in 0:48.
Moe was pinned in 0:34 by Austin Hauge. Squires was pinned in 1:12 by Griffin Tobin. Nedelco was also pinned by Baker in 1:43.
Howard went 3-0 on the night, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney went 2-1 and Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menna went 1-2. The Cossacks will head to Garretson on Thursday and will face Garretson, Parker and Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney.
