Craig Douglas Holte, 63, died at his home in Fargo, N.D., on July 5, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
The son of Harold Holte and the late Vergil Holte, he was born in Ellendale, N.D. on May 24, 1954. He was raised in Grand Forks, where he graduated from Red River High School and the University of North Dakota.
He enjoyed watching sports and playing his music in his church in South Dakota. He spent most of his career in Brookings, where he worked as a loan officer.
Craig is survived by his daughter, Kacie (Collin) Schafer of Grand Forks; his father Harold Holte of Grand Forks; his brother, Russ (Becky) Holte of Fargo; and two sisters: Carolyn (Raymond) Toppass of Frankfort, Ky., and Janet (Dale) Kopecky of Crookston, Minn.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Vergil Holte, brother, Gregory Holte and his stepmother, Dorothy Anderson Holte.
A memorial service was held Thursday, July 13, 11 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks.
Inurnment was held in Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks.
