Delone “Bun” A. Nelson, 80, died Monday, March 20, 2017, at The Neighborhoods at Brookview in Brookings.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church at 337 Eighth Street in Brookings.
Memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the church service beginning at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Delone A. Wilson was born in Volga on Feb. 7, 1937, to Lois (Shearer) and Nathan Wilson. She attended grades 1-8 in rural schools in the Bruce area.
She attended high school in Brookings and graduated in 1955. She married her childhood sweetheart, Ken O. Nelson, on Nov. 8, 1958, at First Lutheran Church in Brookings.
She worked in the computer and payroll departments at South Dakota State University and later as a bookkeeper at Yorkshire Eye Clinic.
Bun is survived by her husband Ken O. Nelson, of Brookings; a daughter, Tiffany Dawn (Tim) Olson of Sioux Falls and two grandsons.
