SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State sophomore Matt Dentlinger was announced Monday as the Summit League's Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, capping a weekend that included two double-doubles in a pair of Jackrabbit comeback wins.
Dentlinger scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Friday against Denver, then followed with an 18-point, 10-rebound performance against Purdue Fort Wayne while hitting all eight of his field goal attempts (and both shots at the charity stripe). Sunday's game against the Mastodons also included a career-high five blocks for Dentlinger.
The Arcadia, Iowa native was a catalyst in both victories, helping South Dakota State take sole possession of first place in the league standings.
