Dianna Terpening Moore, surrounded by her loving family and friends in Medford Oregon, went to be with the Lord on Novembe,r 10, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 65 years of age.

Dianna was born January 18, 1953, in Wagner, South Dakota, to Arthur and Wilma Terpening. She met Michael Moore while attending South Dakota State University and they married May 30, 1980.  Dianna’s passion for life included constant learning.  She attended South Dakota State University majoring in Textiles and Design.  Studies continued at Southern Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Purchasing and Materials Management plus attending Oregon State University via online studies for a Masters in Business Administration.  

In 1988 Dianna moved to Medford with Michael, the love of her life, and took a job with the then Medford Clinic as Director of Purchasing and Construction. When the clinic dissolved, Dianna started DTMoore Medical Construction Co., where she was able to really put her skills to good use.

With a contractor’s license in hand, she was able to work as a liaison between construction companies and medical facility owners. Her many projects included the Medical Eye Center, Renal Care Building including the dialysis center, and a cancer center. Not only did she do internal and external construction design, but also in some cases she even trained the staff.  Dianna was highly respected by her colleagues in the construction industry.

Dianna’s final business endeavor was a partnership with Donn Knokey, who was an experienced records management consultant. They started a business called E-Shelf Document Scanning, LLC. She ended up selling her half of the business to Donn to free herself up for her passion, the opportunity to travel.

Her last big trip included a Mediterranean cruise, followed by several weeks in Rome and a trip back to the states on the Queen Mary 2. Her favorite place was Kotor, located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.   

Dianna had a wonderful life filled with many interests and friendships. In fact, she could have been a teacher on how to live and enjoy oneself. She saw the good in people and expressed herself often through warm hugs and her exhilarating spirit.

Dianna’s life was not without adversity. She could always see beyond what was in front of her and the potential that lay ahead no matter how hard the Journey. And at times the journey was hard! In the late 1990’s Dianna suffered from kidney failure and spent much of her time on dialysis. She was given the gift of life, (a kidney) by her niece, JoDee Peyton. This gave Dianna 20 additional years to live a full and enriched life surrounded by her many friends.

A great evening for Dianna would be sipping a Chenin Blanc at a local vineyard on a warm summer’s eve, looking out over the Rogue valley and listening to good music, surrounded by close friends and sharing her great wisdom on life and what’s really important. 

Dianna loved reading, and was always happy to discuss a good book with friends and acquaintances. She strongly promoted and supported the local libraries.

Dianna is survived by her husband, Michael; sister Donna Rada of Big Fork, MT; brother Thomas Terpening, Rapid City, SD; nieces Tamara Rada Slack (Scott); and JoDee Peyton (Scott).
