Dolphin girls take second at Class B Classic; two Fliers finish in top four

MITCHELL – Taylee Indahl led the Burke girls to the team title, while Gregory’s JJ Beck was the boys’ medalist and James Valley Christian won the team crown during the Class B Golf Classic on Friday at Lakeview.

Dolphin girls take second at Class B Classic; two Fliers finish in top four

MITCHELL – Taylee Indahl led the Burke girls to the team title, while Gregory’s JJ Beck was the boys’ medalist and James Valley Christian won the team crown during the Class B Golf Classic on Friday at Lakeview.

Girls

The Lady Cougars put three players in the top 17, including two in the top five, while carding a team score of 284.

Deubrook Area was second at 301, followed by Newell (309) in third.

Indahl carded an 86 for a five-stroke victory.

Flandreau’s Grace Johanson was runner-up following a round of 91 and teammate Keva Burshiem shot 94 to place fourth. Chester Area’s Ayla McDonald (92) finished third.

Burke’s Emily Stukel fired a 95 for fifth. Adisyn Indahl added a 103 to take 17th and complete the Lady Cougars’ team tally.

Courtni Frank led the Dolphins with a 96, putting her in seventh.

Mattie Nepodal placed 12th at 99. Rounding out Deubrook’s team score, Bailey Landmark was 18th with a 106.

Also for the Dolphins, Kamryn Landmark (120) ended up 36th.

The Vikings shot 258 to edge Bon Homme (259) on the team leaderboard. Parker (262) was third.

Deubrook ended up in a tie for eighth at 283.

Beck fired a 76 to win by three shots.

Chester’s Chase McDonald also broke 80, carding a 79 to place second.

Parker’s Trey Christensen, Platte-Geddes’ Brody Boltjes and James Valley Christian’s Austin Boomsma each shot 81 to finish third through fifth, respectively.

JVC’s Carter Wells (88) was 14th and Ryan Stahl (89) 18th to complete the Vikings’ team tally.

The Cavaliers’ Carter Libis (84) took sixth, Tyler Kopp (86) eighth and Beau Rothschadl (89) to provide for Bon Homme’s team score.

Carter Ekern paced the Dolphins with an 86, as he placed ninth. Luke Urevig (98) and Brody Crooks (99) finished 38th and 46th, respectively, to round out the team score. Jackson Selleck (103) was 55th.

Flandreau’s Devon Burggraff shot 94 and took 32nd.
