WHITE/RAMONA – Deubrook Area beat Arlington 56-28 and Estelline/Hendricks topped Colman-Egan 38-25 in the semifinals of the Dakota Valley Conference Girls’ Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

The Dolphins (10-0) and Redhawks (10-2) face off in the championship game Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in White.

Arlington (5-6) and the Hawks (5-5) square off for third place at 4 p.m. Lake Preston (3-9) plays DRSM (4-7) for fifth at 2:30 p.m. and the Elks (1-10) take on the Raiders (0-12) in the seventh-place game at 1 p.m.

Semifinals

 Deubrook Area 56, Arlington 28

The Dolphins had a balanced scoring attack while doubling up the Cardinals.

Baylee Holmlund led the way with 12 points, three assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals.

Ashley Vandermeer totaled 11 points, three assists, two steals, two boards and a block.

Carley Landmark dropped in 10 points off the bench.

Shaylee DeBeer contributed nine points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.

Deubrook was ahead 19-7 after a quarter, 33-13 at halftime and 49-17 through three.

Arlington’s Makayla Nelson finished with 13 points. Hadley Carlson added six points and Marissa Baker had six on a pair of 3-pointers.

The Redhawks outscored the Hawks 15-2 in the second quarter en route to the win.

Tied at 7-7 after a period, Estelline/Hendricks moved ahead 22-9 at halftime. It was up 31-16 heading to the fourth.

Sophie Johnson led a balanced scoring attack with nine points. Kaylee Johnson and Tasha Vohlken both added six points and Kylie Beare had five.

Colman-Egan’s Mackenzie Hemmer scored a game-high 11 points and Braiden Westley added 10.

Consolation semifinals

 Dell Rapids St. Mary 43, Elkton-Lake Benton 28

Ella Heinitz scored 13 points and Maddie Schwebach and Tana Harrington both added nine to lead the Cardinals.

Ella Griffin came up with nine of DRSM’s 23 steals as the Cardinals forced 30 turnovers.

The Lady Elks’ Brooklyn Nielsen had 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals. Jesse Busselman added four points, four boards and two assists. Hannah Krog corralled 12 rebounds.

Ashlyn DeKnikker just missed a triple-double and Lexie Larsen posted a double-double as the Divers defeated the Raiders.

DeKnikker finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and six assists.

Larsen had 19 points, 12 boards, an assist and a steal.

DeKnikker scored 12 points in the opening quarter as Lake Preston built a 17-5 lead. The Divers were up 31-14 at halftime and 46-20 through three.

Madison Perkins added 10 points and five rebounds. Lindsay Hillestad totaled seven points, 10 boards and three dimes. Annika Nelson contributed two points, three rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.

ORR got nine points from Khloe Tieman. Alivia Spilde added six points and Rylie Aschmeller five.
