Douglas Edwin Strande, 55, of Sioux Falls, died Jan. 4, 2018, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings with the Rev. Dan Overbo officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Volga Cemetery.
Doug was born March 3, 1962, to Lyle and Carol Strande in Covina, California. He attended Northview High School in Covina, California. He joined the Army at 18 years old and he later worked as an electrician in California. He married Dawn Ostrander on Sept. 1, 2004.
Doug is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dawn; step-son, Mike, father, Lyle, sister, Paula Rae, brother, Brian and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Carol Dahl Strande.
