Our senators in Washington often state they are pro-life and have touted the tax cut as the GOP’s great accomplishment. Is the betrayal and slaughtering of American allies in Syria and placing children in cages pro-life?
Were the GOP-inspired tax cuts and the subsequent massive debt that the U.S. has taken on really a good idea for an economy that was moving along just fine?
According to current economic indicators, it appears that our economic future is far from rosy. Our senators are silent as the president encourages a civil war, promotes violence, and continues to be a pathological liar.
This president is not who I would want my children or grandchildren looking up to, and our senators’ complacency toward the president’s behavior is unacceptable. It is time to seriously consider electing individuals that represent true South Dakota values including patriotism and compassion.
We need to stand by our allies, open our hearts to refugees who have been brutalized, and support those in need through adequate taxes and public programs.
