Eleven members of the South Dakota State equestrian team were named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic Team, announced Thursday.
Earning first-team recognition were Jessica Martinez and Mariah Wright.
To earn first-team honors, athletes must compete in at least 70 percent of their school’s meets and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. This marks Wright’s third time being named to the team.
Jacey Chorlton, Matilyn Skinner, Rylee Streit and Miranda Sullivan earned second-team honors by competing in at least 60 percent of meets and earning a cumulative GPA of 3.25.
Honorable mentions were Alissa Greenwald, Catelyn Hall, Sydney House, Whitney Vesey and Nichole Zazula. Honorable mention comprises of showing in 50 percent of meets and obtaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
