BROOKINGS — Five local businesses failed alcohol compliance checks during September, according to a news release from the Brookings Police Department.
According to the release, throughout September the BPD conducted alcohol compliance checks at 41 on- and off-sale establishments in Brookings.
Five establishments had an employee sell alcohol to an underage individual and the employee was cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor:
