South Dakota State’s Ali Herdliska was selected to the 2019 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region Second Team, announced Thursday by the organization.
The Jackrabbit senior is a two-time all-region honoree and earlier this month picked up the fourth All-Summit League nod of her career.
Herdliska paced the team’s offense all season with a slash line of .333/.482/.673, blasting a team-best 14 home runs alongside a school-record 40 walks.
The Solon, Iowa native has added seven doubles and a triple as part of her 50 hits, driving in 42 while scoring 32 runs of her own. Herdliska did not commit an error in the regular season and started every game at first base for the Jackrabbits. She was an All-Midwest Region First Team selection in 2018.
