KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team carded a final-round 311 to take third in the Kansas City Shootout with a 930 total at the 6,059-yard, par-72 Shoal Creek Golf Club.
Northern Illinois (303) won with a 919 total, while Wichita State (310) was second at 926. The Huskies and Shockers were tied atop the leaderboard after two rounds.
WSU’s Taryn Torgerson (77) was medalist with an 8-over-par 224 total.
South Dakota’s Brenna Lervick (78) placed second at 227, while NIU’s Brielle Ward (74) and Lena Gautier (75) tied for third with 228 totals.
Teresa Toscano (80) paced the Jackrabbits, tying for sixth at 230. Hallie Getz (79) and Islamiah Fuad (77) tied for ninth at 233. Megan Mingo (77) and Sydney Bormann (78) tied for 17th at 237.
Competing as an individual, Natcha Srimaneerungroj (84) finished in a tie for 39th with a 247 total.
The Summit League Women’s Golf Championship is April 23-25 at ArborLinks Golf Club in Nebraska City, Neb.
