The Jackrabbits pushed their home winning streak to nine matches. They’ve won seven in a row via shutout.
SDSU’s home unbeaten streak is 11 matches.
Karlee Manding netted her third goal of the season to get the Jackrabbits on the board in the 53rd minute. She gathered a rebound off a header by a Phoenix defender in the box and fired from the top of the box.
Abigail Kastens scored in the 72nd minute. Kaitlin Zabel sent a long pass to Carina McLennan, who crossed the ball into the box for Kastens’ one-touch finish.
“I thought our team was frustrated in the first half,” coach Brock Thompson told SDSU Sports Information. “A little bit of that had to do with Green Bay, and a lot had to do with how we were playing. To our credit, I was really impressed with our leadership and how we regrouped in the locker room. I thought you saw a more motivated, enthusiastic and driven team in the second half, and that changed the trajectory of the game.”
SDSU dominated possession, outshooting Green Bay 22-1, including 9-0 on goal. The Jackrabbits took seven corner kicks and the Phoenix did not have an attempt.
SDSU’s Sunniva Dunagan took six shots, including three on goal. Manding and Kastens both had two shots on goal.
Maggie Smither earned the shutout win in goal.
