The South Dakota State equestrian program had nine student-athletes named to the American Quarter Horse Association NCEA Academic Team Wednesday, including five first-team honorees.
Earning first-team recognition were Alissa Greenwald, Natalie Howard, Kelsey Swainston, Blair Julia Wright and Mariah Wright. Senior Victoria Johnson earned second-team recognition along with Jacey Chorlton and Miranda Sullivan. Jessica Andronowitz brought home honorable mention.
In addition, 13 student-athletes were named to the American Paint Horse Association NCEA Academic Honor Roll Wednesday, including Chorlton, Christina Dexter, Greenwald, Morgan Hall, Nicole Harvey, Howard, Johnson, Melissa Kerr, Makayla Reed, Sullivan, Swainston, Blair Julia Wright and Mariah Wright.
